As the warm Nebraska weather approaches, outdoor activities are booming, and farmers markets are preparing to open their gates to customers in late May and early June. For many, farmers markets are a haven of delight, offering treasure trove of tasty treats and unique, handmade goods. According to the Omaha World-Herald, these markets are a sensory experience, with vendors selling everything from artisanal cheeses to freshly baked bread and countless other delights.

The Gretna Farmers Market, one of Sarpy County’s premier markets, is: set to showcase approximately 30 to 40 vendors this year, including some exciting newcomers offering new and exciting products. First-time participants include A lil This N That and Papa Jack’s Treats, which will deliver an assortment of delectable homemade cookies and pastries perfect for any occasion.

Grounded Granola joins the lineup… offering handcrafted granola made with 50% nuts and seeds, sweetened with pure maple syrup, and customizable with dried fruits and cacao nibs. Another new addition is Laurie’s Dog Treats, which will provide homemade, healthy treats for furry friends, including Peanut Butter, Pumpkin, and Cheddar Cheese Dog Bone treats, as well as specialty delights like Dipped Peanut Butter Dog Bones and Dog Brownies.

Of course, some fan favorites will also be, returning to the market, including Kiln it Creations with pottery, Rosemary Mae Boutique with bows, Cooper Produce with homemade salsa… Local Makers Collective with clothing, Daniels Produce with fresh produce, Candles by, Leslie with candles and wax melts, Wessel’s Kettle Corn with popcorn, Love Letters Organic Flower Farm with flowers, and many more.

According to the Omaha World-Herald, “this year’s market promises to be even more engaging,” with the introduction of ⁘⁘⁘ music and a free bounce house every other weekend, “adding to the excitement and fun.”
