Conditions were far from ideal when Cedar Crest’s junior stepped onto the runway for the sixth time Friday. Rain was falling, the air was cool and five long feet separated him from first place.
“Just knowing there’s a guy with a number ahead of me makes all the difference,” he said. “It really pushes me.”
