Ryan Watrous is a seasoned coach with a proven track record of success. Under his guidance, the Basha High School girl’s soccer team has experienced a remarkable turnaround, doubling their win total from the previous season. With a starting lineup consisting of one senior, four juniors, four sophomores, and two freshmen, the team has achieved a remarkable 10-0-1 record, placing them at number three in the latest Super 10 rankings.
Watrous attributes the team’s success to their renewed commitment and positive attitude. “The girls wanted a different season this year, and they were committed to the hard work and effort it took to achieve it,” he said. “They have great chemistry with each other, both on and off the field, and they trust our system and what we’re teaching them.”
One of the team’s key players, junior midfielder/forward Mitteer, has been instrumental in the team’s attack, contributing 6 assists and 3 goals.
