According to a recent study, the type of music we listen to when feeling stressed may not be as important as we think. Psychologist Krisna Adiasto discovered that the genre of music does not play a significant role in the songs that help people recover from stress. Instead, the research found that stress-relieving songs share common characteristics, such as being in a mellow mode, major or minor, and performed in the key of E with a moderate tempo in 4/4 time.
