Whether it’s a family-friendly gathering, a concert to dance the night away with your friends or a romantic evening with your partner at a local community theater, we have rounded up events to attend this January.
The Corpus Christi Polar Bear Plunge is the local take on the global tradition of a New Year’s Day plunge. Each registration includes a souvenir T-shirt or baseball cap (while supplies last), a decal, a drink and access to the post-plunge hot tub and snack buffet. And 100% of each registration payment goes to ALS TDI, an A-rated nonprofit working to find a cure for ALS. Since the Corpus Christi plunge first began in 2015, it has raised $111,862. It will be held at noon Wednesday, Jan. 1, at Emerald Beach Hotel at 1102 S. Shoreline Blvd.
Cost: $20 to $30. Information: polarbearplunge.cc .
