Featured in wellspan.org: On his family’s Hidden Hollow Farm in Berks County, this individual is a homesteader who dedicates his limited free time to creative pursuits. In his spare hours, he tends to his bee colony, crafts cutting boards from fallen trees, builds fences, cultivates a small orchard, and grows mushrooms. He finds solace in these tasks, which allow him to focus intently on a single activity and reconnect with nature.

“Whenever I get an hour or two to myself, I know it’ll help me calm down and ground myself,” he explains. His family members have grown accustomed to his frequent visits to the garage, often saying, “Get out for a bit, we’ll see you in half an hour.” In addition to his farm work, this individual has also discovered the joys of photography and travel.

He notes that traveling has provided him with a unique perspective on the world, “saying.”.. “Seeing the vastness of the world and experiencing the diversity of its people has helped me not get caught up in my own worries.” (Source: wellspan.
