According to a recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, nearly 50% of adults in the United States will be obese by 2030. Despite the prevalence of trendy diets, Americans are facing a weight ### crisis, with over 40% of adults already tipping the scales into obesity.
Dietitians and personal trainers are divided on the concept of “cheat days” when following a restrictive diet plan, with some arguing that unhealthy snacking can ruin a healthy diet plan, while others see it as a necessary part of maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

A recent study in the United Kingdom found that over 25% of dieters admit to eating at least one unhealthy snack throughout the day, despite their diet plan. Almost 90% of respondents reported indulging in snacks not included in their diet plan, even if they were considered healthy.

To help stick to a restrictive diet plan, dieticians recommend food swaps at home, such as preparing a vegetable-based French Ratatouille instead of a meat.
