Featured in UNILAD: George Lockhart, former diet guru of Conor McGregor, has shared some tips on how to curb sugar cravings. In an interview with Quest Nutrition on YouTube, Lockhart explained that he often recommends adding cinnamon to his clients’ diets. For those who are particularly hungry and experiencing sugar cravings, he suggests mixing a liter of water with a tablespoon of cinnamon and another tablespoon of psyllium husk.

Psyllium husk is a water-soluble fiber derived from the seeds and husk of the Plantago ovata shrub that has various health benefits, including lowering cholesterol and improving symptoms of constipation. Lockhart encourages people to get past the initial two to three days of cravings, and notes that some people choose to go cold turkey and avoid sugar altogether, “but he does not recommend this approach.” He emphasizes the importance of consistent dedication… stating that helping MMA fighters prepare for big fights requires “seven-days-a-week work”.
