For those with a interest in history and animals, Family Day at Middleton Place on Saturday is an event not to be missed. The 50th anniversary of the Beidler Forest Audubon Center in Harleyville is also being celebrated. For those who appreciate the arts, various performances are scheduled throughout the week.
Additional events include the College of Charleston commencement ceremonies, which will be taking place over the weekend. And, of course, Mother’s Day is on Sunday, a special day when mothers are celebrated and honored. On Friday, Saturday… and Sunday, the Charleston Style Exchange will be hosting an Upscale Women’s Consignment Sale at Striped Pig Distillery in North Charleston.
The sale will feature clothing, “shoes,” “and accessories for women and teens.” For science enthusiasts, the Charleston Museum will be hosting Fossil Friday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Bunting Natural History Gallery lab. Museum staff will be available to share ongoing projects and assist with the identification of fossil finds.
Free admission is available for members… and non-members can attend for $10.
