The plant is a type of bulb. The daffodil bulbs were planted at two schools: Cascade Brook School and Academy Hill School. 250 daffodil bulbs were planted in total. The ground conditions at Academy Hill School were difficult to work with. The daffodil bulbs flourished in the garden bed established at Cascade Brook School.

The plantings were funded by the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation.
