Deputy Emily Anderson Assigned to Gibsonton and RiverviewDeputy Emily Anderson has been named the new community resource deputy for Gibsonton and Riverview, located east of U.S. 301 down to 19th Avenue, within Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office District 4 Command. Anderson, a five-year veteran of the agency, joins four other community resource deputies serving the area.

Anderson graduated from Strawberry Crest High School in Plant City in 2015 and earned an associate degree in criminal justice from Hillsborough Community College three years later. Prior to her appointment, she served nights on street patrol in District 2.

As an animal lover, Anderson initially aspired to become a veterinarian but shifted her interest to law enforcement in high school. During her college years, she interned with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and observed operations at the Orient Road County Jail.

She has a great personality, high energy, is ambitious, and likes helping the community.
