Oxfordshire Charity Wins National Award For Voluntary Work: SeeSaw, a local charity, has been awarded the highest honor for a UK voluntary group, highlighting the crucial role of volunteers in the organization. Judith Mulligan, SeeSaw’s director, expressed gratitude towards the Ambassador Volunteers who have given presentations and talks about the charity’s work to the community.
This prestigious award, initiated in 2002 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee, has recognized 262 local charities this year, including SeeSaw. The award will be formally presented to SeeSaw representatives by Marjorie Glasgow, Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, at an upcoming ceremony. Two SeeSaw volunteers will also be invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace in May or June 2024.
