After serving in Korea and Japan during the war, Pflager returned home and got right back to gardening. Today, he oversees three gardens, growing a variety of delicious fruits and vegetables, including cabbage, beets, onions, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, watermelons, and muskmelons. And the best part? He gives most of it away to those in need!
Pflager’s secret to success? His homemade compost pit, which he uses to keep the soil moist and weed-free.

Local businesses team up to help unhoused people in Toledo this winter
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – As the harsh winter conditions roll in, Toledo Hemp Center, along with other local businesses, have collected socks that will be distributed to the homeless community.
