Khloé Kardashian Says She Used to Be an Emotional Eater

“God, I mean my weight-loss journey. It took years for me,” Kardashian shared on the episode, which premieres on Tuesday, May 5. “I’ve always been chubby — like athletic. I’ve always played sports. I just was never in shape.”

She shared that she had to “retrain my mind as to what I could eat, what I couldn’t eat.” But that led to her embarking on a cycle of fad diets, or as she put it “lifestyle changes.”

“I would, let’s say, cut out all sodas. Little by little, I would cut things out. I would do that for a week and then cut out one other thing because I realized, I did every diet under the sun when I was younger.”

Khloé Kardashian has lived in the public eye since practically forever, and she’s been open in the past about going on a weight loss journey after splitting from her ex-husband, Lamar Odom . Now, she’s sharing what she’s learned, as well as where she’s at now.

Khloé said it took a lot of work to “retrain” the way she thinks about food, and she shared that she’s now in a healthy place with food. Here’s what she’s revealed about her journey.

The Kardashians star went through a very public divorce from former NBA star Lamar Odom starting back in 2013, which sparked her weight loss journey.

She previously told InStyle, per People , that she started going to the gym because she “didn’t really know what to do” after separating from Lamar. ⁘Of course, in the beginning, you [have to] get over that hump of it being really hard and something so new for you,⁘ she shared. ⁘But I felt so accomplished.⁘

Khloé shared her workout routine with sister Kourtney’s Kardashian’s Poosh website, explaining that she exercises Monday through Friday and takes the weekends off.
