FARMINGTON ⁘ The new Fit Girls Cares initiative is the community service element that puts the caring in the Fit Girls motto “running, reading, caring.” Fit Girls Cares provides experiential learning with a community project.
Karli Erickson, Executive Director, is happy that Fit Girls Cares “provides a service project where the "4th." And 5th grade girls of Franklin County can work together——to make a positive difference, a more beautiful world. And connect the message of taking care of ourselves, each other, and the earth.”
Erickson also notes one motivation behind Fit Girls Cares is “to teach kids, who are at a particularly susceptible age, the joy of giving–for themselves, their peers, and their community at large.” Fit Girls hopes——to continue this kind of beautification project at the schools each year.
