In a recent interview with Variety, actor Dan Levy shared his thoughts on turning down the role of Ken in the upcoming Barbie movie. Levy, who is known for his roles in Schitt’s Creek and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, revealed that he was approached for the role but ultimately decided to pass.

“I was approached to play Ken, but I had to say no,” Levy said. “I just didn’t feel like it was the right fit for me.”

Levy went on to explain that he was drawn to the project initially due to its unique take on the classic toy. “I was really excited about the idea of reimagining the Barbie universe and the opportunity to play a character that was a little more complex than the traditional Ken,” he said.

However, after further consideration, Levy realized that the role wasn’t quite the right fit for him. “As I dug deeper into the script, I realized that the character of Ken wasn’t as fleshed out as I had hoped,” he said.
