Students at Our Lady of Tepeyac High School in Little Village collected and packaged over 100 bags of donated food for community fridges.
• The students delivered the donations to four community fridges set up by the Love Fridge – a mutual aid group in Chicago.
• The students were motivated by the feast day of OurLady of Guadalupe and their own parish.
• English teacher Emily Curtis found it “really cool” to see young people so involved and passionate about serving others.
• The students’ efforts made a positive impact on their community, bringing happiness to those in need.
• The students also delivered winter clothes to migrants in Little Village as part of their service project.
• The experience taught the students the importance of giving back to their community and making a difference in the ###s of others.
